The Martial Arts Path to Complete Sincerity
The Martial Arts Path to Complete Sincerity
At the Budo Shingikan School of Japanese Martial Arts, we commit a portion of the adult training program to an area of study we call, Warrior Ways. Warrior Ways is the study of the philosophical concepts in Japanese culture and martial arts that enable us to see the application inside and outside of the dojo for a truly complete individual.
In the video below I discuss Makoto in regards to complete sincerity and what it means.

Entry into Makoto – Complete Sincerity
There is an expression, “Do what you say, and say what you mean.” Makoto is about expressing yourself. Express how you feel and don’t apologize for being real. Therefore, it must be a vigilant pursuit to work on oneself. Everyone knows that person who is quite well developed as a human being who expresses themselves all too often.
It is instant when you hear their truth whether they are an enlightened person, and what level of growth they have cultivated within themselves the minute they express themselves.
To a true warrior speaking and doing are the same thing. Their word is their word, and they do not rationalize away the reason their actions and their words do not match. There is nothing that will keep a warrior from fulfilling what they have said they will do.
We hope you enjoy the video and that you decide to join us at the Budo Shingikan Dojo
